Blobby Volley

Blobby Volley is a freeware computer game in which the blobbed shaped players compete with each other like in volleyball matches. The blobs can move left and right, jump, but they cannot touch the ball with their hands. This makes the game more fun than just a simple arcade variation of volleyball.

The blobs can be controlled by the mouse or keyboard. It is possible to play against a fellow player on the same computer or over the network and alone against one of three challenging computer opponents. The player can configure keyboard and mouse controls, the colors of the blobs and the background image. There is also a possibility to save and exchange multiple settings using XML configuration files. The game speed as well as the default volleyball rules can be adjusted. The number of points won is indicated and compared in a statistic.

Blobby Volley is a very enjoyable volley ball game for two players. It has above average physics and gameplay and is great for a little time killer. It is a good alternative to Animated Bounce and the similar games. The game is freeware, but the author asks for donations to support further development and server costs.
